The eForms system came through for me
« on: January 06, 2014, 08:09:49 PM »
I put in for a form 4 on a suppressor at Reaper Arms in late September. They e-filed it for me. The stamp came back three days ago and I've been more than a little frustrated with the weather (too cold to shoot!), but at least it's clean for the crappy phone pictures. :)

Here it is:

My stamp "should" be here about mid February.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Sent my stuff to Scott at American Reaper Arms in September and haven't been approved yet  :(

Although I am only expecting to have it before April or so, not my first one  ;D

Is this the second one? what are you doing on the design on this one? I have been doing a lot of reading on silencertalk  and been doing some modeling of stuff. I wish I worked in a machine shop instead of a union plant... :(

This will be the 3rd can I've built and the second 30 caliber.  I'm planning on making this one much lighter since I way overbuilt the last one.  This one will only be used on a 300 Blackout and a 5.56 SBR, so it doesn't need to be nearly as robust.  I'm also going to use plain 60 degree cone baffles instead of step baffles.  I think that will cut down some on the weight as well as be a lot quicker to machine.

That's what I want to do also. I have posted a couple of questions on silencertalk those guys are really helpful! I have also read through your post on your 22 can. I look forward to seeing your new toy.

By that math mine should be here in about 2 weeks. Giggity.

You think that's bad? I'm still waiting from Dec. 2012!
And it's not the first, so I know I'm good.

I'm in the same boat. I've been doing some design research here and there and may start getting more serious into it. I might have to pick your brain, bkoenig, but unfortunately my access to the machine shop at my work is strictly limited to... well... not this :( At first I started looking at designing a can for two of my pistols and realized quickly that I would need a booster, seriously complicating things. Then I got to thinking about a 556 for my current ARs or one for an undecided 308 bolt that is in my future.

Congrats on your paperwork, btw! Happy Day!!!

It has been a good week and a half. Two stamps!

Here's the latest (picked up this Huntertown Arms Kestrel 5.56 from Rod today).

This paper Form 4 was submitted in early March.
