I could, and have, asked this of some military acquaintances, also.
Sadly, I've had mixed results.  I've met some patriots, and some "order followers".

*Insert puking emoticon here* If I am ever single again, you and I won't have any problems with chasing the same women.

CORRECTION: I misread your original post.  I thought you were saying she was hot because she reminded you of the daughter of Red Jacket.  Sorry for questioning your sanity.  I guess if I find myself single in a bar with you, I WILL have some competition.

I get her point, but she is also quite wrong on some level.  The notion that cops should only initiate the use of force in response to some other force or violent act is wrong.  The state has the right to use force and coercion to enforce the laws of the land, even if those disobeying are not acting violently or dangerously.  The question of the validity of certain laws is another matter entirely, but that's different topic. Think of things like forced evictions for non payment of rent, arrest of "non violent" drug dealers.

Her questions are valid, but some of her assumptions are way off.
