MI also has a new Keymod if you like that type of stuff. My dad just put one on his blackout build. Looks nice but it I can see it being hard on fingers without gloves or rail sections...

Does the name of this thread mean you're a Brony?

Is there something you need to tell us?

I'm git a chuckle outta the thread title since my CB Handle (you'll have to Google it young grasshoppers) Back in the day was Wyld Stalyun.  And, why yes, I do still have the County Fair Hand Painted Custom Front License Plate to prove it.  (If ya ain't a Great Plains Hillbilly, ya ain't gonna understand)

But, I AM following along as I may just have to build me one of these, ya know for old times' sake and all.

This has been collecting dust for a while.  I've been too stinkin' busy working and training for the 24 Hour Sniper Adventure Challenge to do much with it, but I did order a LUTH-AR buttstock and A2 tube, spring and buffer today.

If you're not familiar with the LUTH-AR stock, it seems to be the up-and-coming, lightweight contender to take out the Magpul PRS.  Here's a pic.

I think I've decided on a Geissele SSA-E trigger.  Optics decision up next.

Cool, I've been looking at that stock.  They're getting pretty popular with 3 gun shooters.

I've talked to a couple guys who are shooting them and they really like the fit, finish, quality and weight.

Very light.  Quality appears to be excellent.  A great alternative to Magpul's PRS.

I got a competition Colt AR chambered in .223 Wylde for $699 from CDNN a few months back.  Seems to be a decent rifle as you would expect from Colt.  Except that it has no dust cover and no way to put one on without replacing the upper receiver.

Typical of the "sporter" genre, no forward assist and no ejection port cover.

I eliminated the forward assist on my latest build and just used a Schuster FA plug in the hole

I don't think I've ever used my forward assist, but I tell myself it's nice to have JIC.

Round doesn't go into the chamber? Just mash it in there harder. Makes sense.

The Stallyn is going through some changes: Diamondhead 10.25" hand guard, Liberty Torch QA suppressor, ACOG ...
