The employees probably haven't put it on the shelves and are setting it aside for themselves or buddies...

I stopped by my local ghetto-mart on Friday just for S&G.... They didn't have anything but the guys ahead of me were talking about the die hards that have there phones out and know when its there. He said he watched a guy tell call the employee a liar and demanded that they he go back and look again. He said 10 minutes later the employee came back with a shopping cart full of ammo including 22lr. I think SOME of it is the employee rebelling against neck beards because they are tired of the same group of guys getting all the ammo... SOME of it is employees holding it back for friends or themselves...

I pushed a bit ... didn't go so far as to call the guy a liar ... and said that their online inventory showed .22 in stock.  The guy repeated that he had none in stock and hadn't had any for quite some time.

as of 10:12 am central time searching walmart website

Walmart at 132 and Industrial shows Remington .22 Long Rifle 36Gr. Brass-plated Hollow Point Rimfire Golden Bullet, 525 packs as being in limited stock

a couple months ago when i found some listed in stock at a store and the worker said they didn't have any, I pointed it out that their stock system online shows they have it, he stated that it might have just come in on a truck and not even be unloaded or unboxed yet.

when these types of things happen I think I would ask the store manager, not to be a jerk, but I don't trust most people more of the time.
