Drop-in Barrel in a Glock
« on: August 26, 2014, 02:01:50 PM »
I'm thinking about getting a 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 22. I see that Lone Wolf, Stormlake and Bar-Sto make them, with the prices going up in the order that they are listed. Any recommendations from members? Secondly, will I need to buy 9mm magazines, or will my .40 mags accomodate the 9mm rounds?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Never seen one that didn't just drop in and yes you will need 9mm mags.

The Lone Wolf conversion barrels I've had good experience with. As Gunscribe said you will need 9mm mags

I ordered the Lone Wolf conversion barrel and 3 Glock 17 magazines from Midway last week, they arrived today. I took some 9mm ammo off of RobertH's hands on last Friday. Anyone see a connection here?  Linda and I will be on a range Thursday afternoon putting all that together making noise, smoke and holes in paper. After she tries out the 9mm in a full sized glock 22, I will put my .40 cal barrel and mag back in and see how well she handles that.

let me know how my ammo performed!

i have a Lake City 9mm threaded barrel for my M&P40.  i also had to get 9mm mags.  i love it.

9mm threaded barrel and wanting to sell supersonic ammo because i bought a lot of subsonic ammo.... see a connection there?  8)

I guess that means we will be seeing a range report from you after you have made noise and smoke at some range poking holes in some objects!!!
