I am thinking of building an AR15 style rifle.  I want one that resembles the Sig Sauer P556 (see picture below)  I wonder can a person purchase just the stock of this thing?  I love the short barrel rifle but with this stock I dont have to pay the tax for a short barrel.

Second question.  If i was able to buy the stock (that isnt a stock) would it fit on any kind of AR15 or would I have to buy the upper from Sig Sauer?  That would kind of defeat the purpose of building it myself.

I have never built a rifle but I want to learn, mostly save $$$.  Any help for a Newby would be helpful.

Thanks

Yes, the SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace from SIG SAUER is available separately and will fit a standard AR buffer tube.

That is a pistol. Pistol build kits are available. The "stock" is a brace. You can pick them up for around 135 watch for black Friday deals. Check out Palmetto state ar

Palmetto state armory for AR lowers uppers and build kit. Do not buy a rifle stock unless you have more than one lower that gets into intent blah blah blah.

Won't it only fit pistol buffers?

You might also want to be careful of the overall length requirement for a rifle, too.  (26")

Pretty sure it will fit any standard buffer tube.  However, there will be a reveal of some of the tube on the longer buffer tubes.

also, DO NOT put a vertical foregrip on the firearm.  that makes it an AOW.
