Waiting Patiently
« on: May 23, 2015, 07:15:44 AM »
My Citori is getting close to making it's debut. Started out as a Crossover Target, decided to have a custom stock fitted to me, see if this helps.Stock is Burl Maple, done by Midwest Gunstocks.

Whatcha think?

FWIW, ENGRAVING* improves the trapshooter's score significantly better than the SHINE on the stock.

Hand Engraving improves the score more than Embossed/Stamped Engraving.

Up to 5 Birds/Event.

I've Actually Seen It Done.

But...Burl Walnut works pretty well, too.   Especially Shiny Burl Walnut.

And.....It's pretty obvious that your Stockmaker is so in love with his own creation that you may never see it again.

sfg
(*Engraved Quail work better than Pheasants.   You'll get two more birds/event if the dog is on point.)

Yes, the stock maker has a hard time giving it up for any length of time, hopefully when it comes back this time, I get to keep it.
Appreciate the compliments, but the credit goes to Mr. Reynolds, He does some beautiful work.
Weather wasn't the best for shooting this morning, but nine of us ventured out, just can't get the BT 99 to shoot like the Citori, yep, I blame the gun.

Got it Friday morning.
Any old Navy guys on here will recognize the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club Pin in the pistol grip, barrel decal says Yankee Station, where all Naval Ops were conducted in Viet Nam, unless you were in the Brown Water Navy, you have my fullest respect for that duty.
Fathers Day, better head to Harry Koch and shake this thing out.

Very nice.  That's an heirloom quality firearm.
