they do have some valid points.... they point out that pro-gun bills are hard to move through the legislature, but they say the purchase permit is outdated.  but i do like the fact my CHP also works for a purchase permit and bypasses the NICS.

the article wrote this about Nebraska: 34. Nebraska
Change comes slowly in the Cornhusker State. Getting any bills through Nebraska’s unicameral is a challenge, and pro-gun bills are tougher than most. Passage of the state’s CCW law took more than a decade, and things have improved slowly since that watershed event in 2006. State firearm preemption and “Stand Your Ground” bills are working their way through the legislature but have been carried over, and passage is a two-year prospect at best. Nebraska gets near-max points in the NFA category, and being the home to several shooting ranges and industry giants, including Cabela’s and Hornady, gives this state some cultural points in the miscellaneous column. The use-of-force laws are relatively mediocre, and an antiquated permit to purchase a handgun system remains in effect decades after implementation of the NICS system.

They can leave us there at 34.  Keeps the libs off our ass and busy somewhere else. It doesn't take into account LEO attitude, the fact the purchase permit doesn't require a NICS with every purchase and a few other things.

Yes we have some places to improve obviously but I would rather not quibble over a rating from some out of state comparison.  :)

Pro gun billls DIE  in the Judiary committee, because of Ernie Chambers ...... and his ilk (though thankfully, we kicked Ashford upstairs.....)

The Judiciary Committee IS THE place where Gun stuff is decided, pretty much ( Ashford's "Guns Too Dangerous for Civilian Ownership" Bill of 2008 Nothwithstanding- and NO I wil NEVER forget that the NRA made a deal to stand "nuetral" on it.....

The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

Chambers could not continue his mission of corrupting Nebraska law without the help of fellow traitors.  It would be nice to see a list of who these anti-freedom bigots are, so their constituents could be notified about them being part of Chambers' herd.  Position on gun control is a good litmus test issue, because those who support it do not respect the law, do not respect the people, want power concentrated in the hands of government, and since you can not support gun control without being a liar, they are either liars or fools, parroting someone else's lies.  Their constituents should be made aware of the kind of representation their senator is giving them.

since you can not support gun control without being a liar,

The lie occurred when they took their oath of office to "support and defend the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic"  and they swore that that they took that OBLIGATION willingly, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion.   They had mental reservations or they were evasive.  That lie is enough to impeach them but it won't happen.

I agree completely, and would add that the first lie is invariably followed by many more lies.  And who knows, a day might come when Americans wake up and see what these criminals have been doing to the Republic, remove the criminals from power and put them in jail where they belong, and restore the rule of law.
