How do You Like Your Uplula??????
« on: March 08, 2016, 05:57:46 PM »
I've seen folks using them at the range, squeezing away the rounds into their pistol mags.   Loadin' 'em up, shooting away.

Never had one; thinkin' about gettin' one.   (MidwayUSA and Brownells are Out of Stock right now.)

Anyhow, I've got about twenty (20) two-gallon ice cream tubs full of reloaded 9mm, .40S&W, and--of course--.357SIG.   (Not to mention the .38SPCL.)   Plan to shoot it all up during this year, now that it's warming up outside.   I don't mind calluses on the trigger finger, but would rather save the thumb.   Just recovering from a contest w/carpal tunnel and now that I'm winning, don't want to fade in the backstretch.

I've got the usual plastic one-piece Glock and Kahr reloading tools, but the Uplula seems to be a coupla leaps higher in performance.   Might even be worth the $35 Buck$.

How do you like Yours???

I think they are great, Makes is fast and easy to load magazines.

My daughter has a pink one. She used to complain about loading magazines and now she doesn't.

SFG...you wouldn't be asking that question if you had tried one.  You would already own one (or more).  ;D

I liked my Uplula well enough for Glock magazines, and I consider it a necessity now that I have Sig Sauer magazines.  I swear they sharpen the tops of those things.

Can't say enough good about the pistol version.  Faster then hand loading and sure saves the thumb! You can really get a rhythm going.

I was at the Thunder Alley range and told my shooting friend about them, and even demonstrated it. He said "I just use the one that came with my Glocks". I insisted he try mine. 10 minutes later he was out in the lobby/store buying one.

I think I owe about 6-8 of them---I've got one or two in every range bag, plus some extras lying around.  Use them for pistols and ARs.

Well worth the money.  (Speaking as someone who would load all the magazines necessary to shoot a Steel Challenge match prior to showing up at the match so I didn't have to reload anything during....)

I have the Maglula and the Uplula and have to say that it is a world of difference between using them  and hand loading a mag.  My hands don't hurt as much and I can load faster when I "get into the groove".
Worth every penny.

MiGosh.............Uplulas are all the rage!!!

My daughter has a pink one.
I can’t do pink because with all the gender uncertainty going around, I’m nervous about my own.   Even after going to the bathroom and taking a peek.   But I ain’t gonna do black, because it’s too darned EZ to lose black stuff at the range.   I leave enough stuff behind at the range already.   Now....They do have a bilious, awful-looking lime green Uplula model.   I’m thinking of that one.   Hard to lose anything colored Lime Green.   And Nobody would ever, ever steal it from you.

SFG...you wouldn't be asking that question if you had tried one.
Heck, I’d like to try one.   Just One.  Once.   But Nobody seems to have them in stock.   Nice pics on MidwayUSA & Brownells, right next to their Out of Stock notification.   I’m thinking of going to the next USPSA shoot at ENGC and following jthhapkido around, watching where he leaves his range bag.  Mebbe pinching one of his Uplulas.   He has so many, he’d never notice just one less item from his bag.

I LOVE this part.   You know how company from out of town makes you happy twice???   Well, so does reloading.   Once when you shoot the reloads.   And then before that, when you first ate the ice cream.   Just to get the Big Buckets.

Gotta Get Me an Uplula.   Somewhere.   Somehow.   Everbody sez..

Amazon has them......

Well, not so many as they had before.
In fact, they now have one (1) less Uplula than they did.
Because..........I just ordered mine online.

And I also redeemed a $25 gift card that has been sitting untapped on my account at Amazon.com since early 2014.

And I thought this Forum posting:
Quote
List price $286.16.
was a typo error.  Believe it or not, Amazon's Uplula list prices are in exactly that range.
Go Figger!!!

I chickened out on the Lime Green Uplula
.   It was a few buck$ more.   Being kinda of a tightwad, I defaulted to the cheapest model:   The Black One.   Works the same.

Thanks, Jerry Lundegard.   And my fingers thank you as well for the callouses they will be spared this summer.

FWIW, Amazon.com has a bigger, broader range of Uplulas than either MidwayUSA or Brownells.   Bet they have other shooting stuff as well.   For sure, I'll be going back to check out all their gear.
