Are you a fan of Ernie Chambers?
« on: December 06, 2016, 08:28:35 PM »
I know you are familiar with Ernie Chambers. Not just familiar, but very tired of his antics in the Legislature. Mocking religion, playing the race card, reading horrible poetry, being a bully, and telling everyone in the legislature how much smarter he is.

Well, term limits designed to get rid of him didn't work. He came back. He now has 4 more years in the legislature. Would you like to see that change? There is a chance.  And you can help.

Many of you know that Ernie doesn't actually live in the district he claims to represent. But no one has able to challenge that. Until this year.

John Sciara ran against Ernie this year. He lost. John is the only person to have legal standing to challenge Chamber's eligibility.

John has filed the complaint. Now he needs to raise funds for the challenge. He likely will get the money returned, but it must be put up front. If you want to see Ernie challenged please help out John.

He has agreed that returned funds will be donated to a charity / non-profit of your choice if you make that request up front. (tell him you want the funds to go to the NFOA!)

Please help out John now. Let's see this challenge to Ernie's eligibility advance.

I'll donate.  But it should be noted that Ernie is only effective as an enemy of freedom because others in the legislature do what he wants them to do, some of them so-called Republicans.  With Republicans in the majority in our legislature there is no reason that Ernie Chambers should be anything more than an annoying clown.  To me the RINOs that are an essential part of Ernie's power base are every bit as morally repugnant as he is, every bit as destructive of freedom as he is, and unlike him are hypocrites, since they at least pretend to be loyal Americans.  Has the Nebraska Republican Party learned anything from the Trump victory?  Will they stand up for freedom as they swore an oath to do?  I'm sorry, but I'm thoroughly disgusted with their cowardice.  But a chance of getting rid of the one that herds them like cattle is worth a donation.

Sometimes stopping the bully allows the rest his gang to be the good people they wanted to be but couldn't. A lot of his power was that he is a bully and would stop their bills as well if they didn't give in to his demands.

Every single point of this.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Yup, that's how he gets re-elected so easily. John mentioned at one of the breakfasts that he had a big uphill battle because Chambers has them fooled into thinking he is a miracle worker for them.

Not sure where we are at on this, but I'll voice my concern that John told WAAY too many people of his plans.  I'm sure this got back to Ernie, and all he had to do was be sure everything was in place to beat it.

An update for those that have not heard. John raised just over half of the $5,000 needed and arraigned for a personal loan for the balance and got this in about a week before the deadline. From what he's been told the committee will be formed after the new session gets started with Ernie getting sworn in and then being able to participate in any floor discussions if it makes it to that.

There were a few of the outgoing Senators that wanted the special committee proceedings to be done by them so that there would be no opportunity for Ernie to go after anyone who took part but I don't think time allows for that to happen.

John is still trying to get people to show up to the still to be held/scheduled hearing to support him and those with knowledge to testify. He is also trying to get notorized statements from witnesses that will be unable to attend. I counseled him to have legal representation, because Ernie will use rules of evidence and try to twist the meaning of laws and rules to his favor and many Senators will look at his being an attorney (though not practicing) and experience and consider him an expert, which having competent representation helps to counter. But I don't think he has the funds or an attorney that is interested in taking this on.

I don't understand how Ernie can have a law degree from Creighton but yet work has a barber. Creighton is one of the most expensive schools in the state. He has to be in someone's back pocket.

EC has never successfully passed the Nebraska bar examination, according to one source.  Other sources claim that he "refuses to join the Nebraska Bar Association."  [Perhaps because he cannot, if he hasn't passed the requisite bar exam.]

Consequently, he cannot practice law in this state.

He can help make it; he just can't practice it.

Apparently he was successful in passing all of the requirements for a Nebraska state barber's license.

Ernie is a barber?  What thinking person would want Ernie Chambers standing behind him with something sharp in his hand?
