"common sense firearm regulations".    uh huh.
The same "common sense" that thinks that no gun signs make us and our children bullet proof. 
The same "common sense" that thinks that disarming law abiding citizens will somehow, but they can't say how, cause the lawless to stop obtaining and using firearms.
The same "common sense" that says citizens must give up their rights to self-protection and preservation in order to become targets for psychopaths at posted venues.
The same "common sense" that says citizens must be limited to 10 round weapons while outlaws use weapons that hold 18 rounds or more.
The same "common sense" that attempts to regulate transportation of firearms while not being able to regulate the transportation of illegal narcotics.
The same "common sense" that says citizens need dozens of IDs to prove their age and birthright for various privileges, like obtaining CHPs, loans, cars, houses, etc.,   while  illegal immigrants who can't even speak English don't need an ID to vote.

In other words, the "common sense" of Leftists who, in the final analysis, want to abolish the Constitution and live under a manifesto and dictatorship.

Typical Omaha Weird Harold reporting. The article does a great job of covering the effort against the bill, but because the Mayor of Omaha was unavailable they didn't talk to anyone, including Hilgers, about why the bill might be good for Omaha and other communities.

I find the whole "hinders our ability to investigate" and "prosecute teenagers with illegal hand guns" arguments a bit shallow and down right false. Unfortunately, people don't stop and think about the statements and just agree because "it was someone in authority" who said it.

Steven Crowder did a great video last fall where he setup a shelter and said that he was representing the  "Citizen's Coalition for Common Sense Gun Reform" and then proceeded to talk to people on the street, who did not have firearms and didn't support owning firearms (his prequalification process is hilarious to watch), about what should an should not be allowed. He quickly proved several things:
  • Anti-gun supported don't really understand firearms in the first place.
  • There really isn't any "common" or "sense" in the term "common sense".
  • People are pretty gullible and just regurgitate what they are told without asking questions.
