I Don't Believe in Guns

I story from a Firearms Instructor of a student whose wife was confronted by an unwelcomed visitor.  A good read, especially for those women (or men) that "don't believe in guns"
“It is not an issue of being afraid, It's an issue of not being afraid to protect myself.”

I have a female neighbor who's said that exact thing to me: "I don't believe in guns."  She's divorced and lives alone with her 11 year-old son.  I probed a bit and asked her what she meant.  After a bit she said that she didn't believe that private citizens had a need for guns.  After a bit more discussion, she has indicated that she's willing to go to the range with me and my wife.  Hopefully, we can help her see that, while the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist, a private citizen's right and need to own a gun does.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.   J. F. K.

Was a good read.  I for one when i am bothering Randy down at Thunder Alley am glad to see the nunmber of female patrons that come to shoot.  One couple even competes against each other, loser buying dinner.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

"I don't believe in guns"

Oh, they most definately exist!  I happen to have a couple.   ;D
