A Waterloo, Nebraska man was injured Monday in Yutan after an explosion from his rifle.

67-year-old Ronald Stave was taken to Creighton University Medical Center with eye and hand injuries.

Authorities tell Channel 6 News that Stave was checking the sight on the rifle when it exploded on him. Deer hunters often do this before the season starts. He had fired several shots before the gun exploded.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I had to laugh at how poorly this was written -

Great now they left the impression that guns just explode when you "check the sight".

That was my thought as well.

Reporters make these gaffes in other areas as well.  One would think they'd expend a tiny bit of effort trying to educate themselves on a topic they have no knowledge of rather than look like fools.

Problem is they don't look like fools to the dumb masses which will eat anything fed to them by the media.

Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.   J. F. K.
