ENPS October USPSA Pistol match, Oct 6th...
« on: October 04, 2012, 05:29:56 PM »
Just a quick reminder to everyone that this Sunday is the next USPSA pistol match at the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club.  We'll have a classifier stage, too!

Setup starts at 7:30 like usual, and registration closes at 8:40, with new shooter/safety briefing at that time.  Shooter's meeting at 9am, and we'll start shooting right after.

See you there!

Hey Kozball, I remember you telling me about shooting at that star.... I ended up reliving your story.

Go back on Sunday. Might get your second chance with the star, or 2, or 3.......................

Did you guys see the evil star that some of the shooters from out west brought to one of the ENGC matches? Not only did it spin, but it swung from side to side too.  I hate that star so much I would be relieved to see just a regular star.

Check it out at 00:50...

Thanks for posting that embarrassing run.  [sigh]

I suppose it could have been worse:

I note that we do NOT have either one of those stars available for use on Sunday.   (And that is a good thing, too!)

If you didn't come out and shoot, you missed a BEAUTIFUL day for it.

Granted, the stages were a bit on the tough side today (apparently stage designers wanted to set a new record for hard cover and no-shoot targets) but it tested an interesting mix of skills.

It was a fun time--good seeing all 51 of you out there!

And Terry already has the match results up!

Interesting.  Each stage I shot, I got progressively better...until the Classifier where I ended up placing right in the middle.

Must mean I don't get enough practice outside of these matches...Ya think?!

This was my first one of these and I had a ton of fun. The stage in bay one was evil with all of the blacked out targets, though. The dreaded Texas star did not make a showing which was a relief for me.  ???
Thanks to all that volunteered!

I'm sad that I couldn't make it! I'll definitely be coming to the zombie shoot.

That was my favorite,  there were some great stages today.

Bit chilly, but beats the heat IMO.

I just hope those Zombies aren't hiding behind as much hard cover and no-shoots as we saw today.  They shouldn't be.  Zombies are not smart, just hungry.  So they SHOULD be mostly in the open, and from perusing the stages (here), it looks like that is mostly the case.

Yep, they are pretty much all out in the open.  However, you must remember that they are zombies, so most of them are straight-out headshots...
