Good idea if we can be assured their firearm won't leap magically out their holster and rain a hail of buillets indisciminately at innocent bystanders and fellow employees....

They have to do more research to see if their own retired cops can handle guns? If they could trust them to retirement, why can't they trust them after retirement?

And it's okay to have armed people around government employees, but we don't want them in our schools protecting common citizens families?
