Anybody have any experience, good or bad, with Pro Mag magazines?  Specifically, mags for Smith & Wesson.

There are a few exceptions, but generally most of their mags are not considered reliable or of high quality.

Thanks Farmer Rick.  I was trying out a couple I picked up and had problems.  Just wondered if it was common with Pro Mag.  I guess you get what you pay for.  :-[ Now what about Mec Gar? :blank:

I was told to avoid Pro-Mag at all costs. Serious realiability issues.

Mec-Gar makes alot of the factory mags for a few manufacturers. I know my Sig factory mags are made by them and I use some Mec-Gar branded mags also with no issues.

For some reason I confused pro-mags with PMags.  Ooops.

Mec-Gar are great. As said above, they are the OEM for many gun companies. The make mags for Sig, FN (hi powers at least), Beretta, CZ, and a bunch of others.
