Magpul Chief Operating Officer Doug Smith said the moving process has begun following the signing of a bill by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper that bans the sale of gun magazines with more than 15 rounds. A new location has yet to be determined.

“Our moving efforts are under way,” Smith told the Denver Post. “Within the next 30 days we will manufacture our first magazine outside the state of Colorado.”

It is.  Maybe Magpul and Colt will help  their workers, who want to or can,  to move with them so they can keep their jobs in these difficult times.

I would like to see some real numbers or statistics on the economic impact of this legislation in Colorado.

For example:

Revenue loss, job loss, and any other general economic impact that is negative.

I do not have my PhD in economics- but- I would like to see commentary from a few folks that have one. 

I wonder if anyone would say that it has some type of positive impact....

It's just too bad that there are several states that are More Gun friendly then Nebraska.

and as long as EC or someone like him is in the unicameral it won't happen.  :'(

HIGHLY unlikely.  As Dan W stated, Nebraska tax code is not enticing enough to lure in much industry.  Also, we are pretty good regarding 2A rights, but there ARE much better.

Well at least we are on the short list. Plus a community can offset quite a bit with other enticements. So though it may not happen, I would say we still could get them here. I`d rather try, and do all I can to make it so, than to make a comment that does nothing to inspire people to try.

I would love to try too, but the types of enticements that such a corporation would be looking at are made by the government in the form of favorable tax code, 2A laws, etc.  Also, these are not changes that can be made in the time frame that Magpul is planing on making a decision. So I don't foresee you, I or the entire NFOA membership having any influence on Magpul's decision.

Maybe I'm just being negative or don't understand what could be done quickly to entice Magpul.  If anyone has a plan, let me know.
