Got home from a trip about 1:30 this morning, took a glance at the mail after unpacking, and there was my Nebraska CCW permit! On July 4th... sweet.
I took Chris Zeeb's class June 6th, but didn't get the paperwork to the State Patrol's Omaha office until the 14th because I was waiting on a copy of my birth certificate. They told me they'd streamlined some things and hopefully it would only take 3-4 weeks, but still count on 6-8, so I wasn't expecting it anywhere near this quickly.
I applied for the Utah permit as well. Haven't got that one yet.
Just thought I'd pass it along... much quicker than anticipated. Props to the State Patrol for whatever "streamlining" they've done!
