Firearm Safety and Permitless Carry Training
Topic outline
-
The Nebraska Firearm Owners Association's mission is to advance effective firearms legislation and training opportunities throughout the state of Nebraska. We have created this online learning management system to provide our members and citizens in Nebraska access to training and education in support of their ability to be responsible, law abiding, informed and educated firearm owners. In consideration for access to these training modules, you release from liability and waive your right to sue the Nebraska Firearms Owners Association, its Board of Directors, Members, Volunteers, and Agents, (collectively “NFOA”) from any and all claims, including claims of NFOA's negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death), criminal charge, criminal conviction, or economic loss you may suffer or which may result from your access and utilization of the information and resources contained within this course.
We recommend consulting with a licensed attorney for all legal counsel.
-
This page lists instructors and ranges throughout Nebraska who will be offering free training in firearm safety and shooting fundamentals. Please contact them to find out when their next offering is scheduled.
-
We recommend reviewing the Nebraska State Patrol's formally developed curriculum for the Concealed Handgun Permit required education. NFOA volunteers have prepared additional and modularized training (presented) below, to provide topic-specific modules to facilitate shorter training sessions that focus on topics of interest. We also recommend attending training with a certified instructor for all hands-on skills development for firearm safety, handling, and marksmanship. Additionally, you should seek the advice of legal counsel for any questions you may have about the law.

We welcome anyone to provide us feedback on any errors discovered in these resources. We welcome you to let us know what you find as you peruse the materials. Please ensure you provide which lesson the error is within and what specifically needs to be corrected. Your feedback is anonymous.
