Gun range built next to school or Vice Versa?
« on: November 28, 2013, 03:59:14 PM »
http://www.jrn.com/kmtv/news/Construction-of-Gun-Range-Next-to-Iowa-School-Breaks-No-Laws-233770711.html

Headline reads:
Construction of Gun Range Next to Iowa School Breaks No Laws

Then articles read:
"Timberline School is being built next door to the New Pioneer Gun Club's shooting range in Waukee."

1st- I USED to respect Action 3's reporting, but they seem to have fell into the same abyss as the others.

2nd- Who the H311 authorizes the zoning for a school to be built next to a Gun Range-
Yes I understand safety measures are put in, but it still doesn't seem like the smartest of ideas.

I posted a polite comment yesterday on the KMTV3 website relative to the inaccuracy of the article's headline.  I did use a technical term, "bass-ackward", in my comments to describe their ability to read, comprehend and report news. ;D

They changed the headline overnight - today it is correct.  Range there FIRST / School Board building on property next to the existing range.....

LOL! and they seem to have removed the story from Facebook.
I was going to quote the fella that called them IDIOTS for the headline.

Bets on whether the gun-haters try to use the schools location to try to push the range out?  So what it was there first, after all....it's about the children :'(
