Yes I do make belts, two strips of leather sewn together to give you a nearly 1/4" thick stiff gun belt. I use either solid brass or stainless buckles in heal or roller style. I charge $80 for them + tax. I only use top grain Herman Oak leather for my goods and it doesn't get any better than Herman Oak for quality and durability.
If anyone cares about my opinion of belt stiffeners here it is, I think belt stiffeners are really only beneficial for belt sizes 50+, when you get longer strips of leather your overall stretching is going to be a bit more, otherwise I think it takes a lot longer to form to your shape and hit that really comfortable spot.
Usually two things are used to stiffen the belts- either kydex strips or that plastic banding stuff you see around shipping pallets and such.
The problem with kydex is if your like me most of the time when I take off my pants I leave my belt in them till morning and change it out then, but if it gets stepped on or kinked ever it will keep that kinked shape, it will deform it and I don't know how you could get it out. Anyways that's just my opinion on the matter.
Thanks for all the kind words and orders from the membership here, you all have really supported me and my business and I appreciate that.
