That's good news but I wonder if three shooting lanes will be enough.

bk, thought the same thing.  When it said 3 lanes, the thought that popped in my head was 3 different room with ranges.

Me, too.  I wonder if Clerq either meant or said "bays" and the reporter didn't know better?

If he wants to host competitions, they'll need more than three lanes. :)  (Well, unless Bullseye...)

Good for them---hope it works out with the Omaha Planning Board!

Love this! 3 blocks from the house. No more racing cross-town to Bullethole to get on a list then stand around for an hour or so.  Probably still have to stand around but cutting the drive out will be nice. ;D

From their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Inner10WeaponsAndTraining
Pending permit approval, our new location will be at 8910 Military Road.
Due to the property size, we have had to redesign the range. The new range will mobile and consist of three fully automated lanes rated for pistol caliber only.
We are aware this is a much smaller scale but feel it will be a better fit for the area. Below is the possible floor plan.

Check out this video from the manufacturer of the mobile range:

I make the drive to Take Aim in Bellevue. So far I haven't had to wait. It's a lot cleaner than the Bullet Hole and brighter.  It is more expensive though.

It is more expensive though.

That is the big drawback for me in trying it out.  I'm sure it's real nice though.

Went to the Omaha Planning Board meeting today to support Inner 10s conditional zoning application.

The Clercs made a nice, straightforward presentation and the board members appeared to be open and receptive.   Some questions about noise and a couple of other items.

One Opponent Spoke:
He was from an ADA-based social service agency who served folks being rehabbed from ADD-kinds of ailments, many of them who had run afoul of the law in their lifetimes.   Claimed that the noise from the range would be a distraction to his clientele, etc.    And that locating a firing range in proximity to his facility was the last thing that should ever be allowed:

Board Member:   "How far away from the proposed range is your facility?"

Opponent:           "Approximately 500 yards..........."

Vote went quickly positive after that point in the meeting.

Note to Forum members:   That 3-lane, portable Meggitt Systems Road Range is niiiiiiiiiiiiiicccce!   Can't wait to check it out.

(One Board Member asked if it could be used for drive-by shootings.)

Can't wait for them to get up and running!

Only now I'm concerned about the fact I just found out I have an out-patient facility for criminals w/ ADD/HDD in my neighborhood... :(

Actually, Humorously.

(At least, that's what it appeared to be:   An attempt at light humor.)

Thanx for going SFG. I had planned it, but had my dates mixed up and it was too late when I realized my folly.
The owners should soon stop by here and Share Their Story, as they take on this adventure.
“It is not an issue of being afraid, It's an issue of not being afraid to protect myself.”
 Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert
"A gun is a tool, Marian; no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that."  Shane
