February Coffee options, chime in here please
« on: January 11, 2014, 01:41:11 PM »
Feb 1 would be the first Saturday of the month, and therefore the day that the Coffee would fall on.

I need input before I lock in a date and call D&K.

1. A couple members have raised the request of moving it to a later start time, so they may shoot the IDPA match and still attend the Coffee. I am fine with this, are you? Say, 1100hrs?

2. Another member mentioned the fact that he works Saturday morning. Any objection to changing it to a Sunday so he can attend as well?

We can do one, or both, but I want your input before I change things up.

Opinions? Thoughts? Yea or Nay?

Thanks,
Dave

The thought of doing is Sunday WAS bouncing around my head earlier today........

what about Sundays around 11am?  it would be after most church services and people can still sleep in.  i can't remember how many competitions or classes are on Sundays.  it would also be good, since most people i know are hardcore husker fans.

i'd like more input from members, especially the ones who come to these luncheons.

Sunday AM conflicts would occur for those that are active church-goers.
A possible Sunday PM (2P-3P) option??

Is the Gretna Café open on Sundays?

I don't envy anyone trying to make a schedule that would please everyone, but to add my 2cents worth ... for my family schedule I couldn't attend anything on Sunday before 1pm.

Thanks again for everyone who makes this work!

I vote for leaving it alone, right where it is. no matter where you move it to. someone isn't going to be able to go, sundays are out for me,

I believe D&K is open until 1pm on saturdays and sundays.

However, if we start getting any more people to these little shin-digs, we may have to find a bigger place to congregate at.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

OR......
We could go back to the original plan and have one in Lincoln and Someone in Omaha set up there own.  (Except I would miss some of ya folks.)
(It would be great to see coffees start up in York, Grand Island, Kearney, Columbus, Scottsbluff, North Platte, Hebron, Superior, Red Cloud, .........)

(Did ya'll like having a Senator stop by?  I am going to start inviting more of them if that's alright.  I think it's nice to have that face to face in a relaxed setting.  )

That's a distinct possibility too...
