Game and Parks Mobile Permits
« on: January 12, 2014, 09:01:08 PM »
Did anyone have any success trying the G and P new mobile permits system? I tried but they are experiencing problems with Android phones. Just checking to see if anyone has been successful with their android? Iphone, I think will work.

Emails were sent to some people to try out the pilot program.

What is this?

You buy your permit and have only an electronic copy on your phone?

You have it saved on your phone if you need to show it to an official. Since I was unable to complete the process on my phone, I am not sure how the final product will work. Somewhere in the process I did read that is was suggested to make a hard copy of your permit, also.

I am sure there will be pros and cons. I am old school enough that I would carry a hard copy on me anyway.

i like a printed version.  i save a pdf on my computer and send it to my email, just in case.

however, i will NOT give my phone to a police officer or G&P officer.  but thats my opinion.

My wifes iPhone went in off the dock a couple years back.  That would have been a great time for a park ranger to ask to see our park permit, he could have retrieved it for us, from the bottom of the lake.
