Hunter Safety Courses??
« on: January 13, 2014, 12:16:58 PM »
Just curious if there is anyone in the Omaha area that offers Hunter Safety Courses, and where I might find this information? I have two sons ages 14 and 15. I am not a proponent of online training for kids as it relates to gun safety. Are there any NFOA members that offer this class?
Thank you in advance..

Use this link from the NG&P web site....

http://www.register-ed.com/programs/69

Fill in the blank box or boxes with your location / zip to see if there are any open classes in your area.

There are NFOA members that do HE classes that may contact you direct.  I do classes during the summer but tend to concentrate on Boy Scouts and summer camp programs which are closed with additional early fall and late spring classes that are posted on the NGP site.  Classes fill up quickly.

i took mine online and did the field day at gun club south of omaha, that was pretty slick deal, gun club had us bring 22 rifle and shotgun, and we shot pretty much as much as we wanted with 22's and we also shot clays with our shotguns.

my archery i took in columbus at their indoor archery range.

I teach Hunter Safety.  It's about time for me to do another one.

Mud, let me know if you get one together.  My boy will turn 12 this summer, I had better get him in a class.
Do you do any field stuff with yours, or just the class room?

I'm only certified for classroom instruction.
