I was wondering if anyone knows of any dealers in the area that stock Dan Wesson 1911's.

I've never seen one in Lincoln or Omaha.  But a Dan Wesson 1911 is one of my Grail Guns.

I have been putting off sending one of my Springfields back to the Custom Shop to make it how I want it.  Dan Wessons are pretty close to what I am looking for.  I was looking for a Wilson Combat, but I want the 25 LPI checkering and most manufacturers are doing the 30 LPI.  I am looking at either the ECO or the Guardian for carry and if I do that, I may go for the Specialist for bedside gun.  I'm just not sure about how well they run.  There are some people that are having trouble with them functioning.

I have a DW CCO and have had a few other DW's.  They are fantastic guns and Keith over at the DW division of CZ USA provides great customer service.  That being said...with the prices now being asked (and getting) I would look into something like Baer.  You can get a Baer for what a Valor costs now, and I think the Baer is a better gun for the money.  I say this having owned sever Baers as well.

Cabela's in Omaha had a Dan Wesson ECO last week. That's where I bought mine.
