Kearney Cabelas Open House Saturday Aug. 29th, NFOA help needed.

Kearney Cabelas is having the same type of event as LaVista had last weekend, an open house with a "Door Buster Sale". Due to the overwhelming response we had at LaVista, I have decided to try to get a table at this event also, to sign up members and promote our cause. I need help at the table to sign up members, will you do your part?

I went to the Kearney Cabelas today. The lady who is in charge of the events was not there. I left her a flyer and a note to call me about a table for saturday. I also left her a voice message, and mentioned we sat up at LaVista last weekend. I will know tomorrow if I can get a table. I may have to go over her head if she says no. I've spent thousands in that place over the years, and installed their security years ago. I think we will get in.

I only plan on saturday, as I will be in Columbus on sunday at the picnic, so if any member wants to man the table sunday who is not going to Columbus, let me know. Does not sound like the event will amount to anything on sunday, though.

Who will step up to the plate?

I still do not have anyone to help yet. Even if you could just help for a couple of hours, that would really help me out. My son may help, but that is not definite yet.

I also have three tables at the Brule and Alliance gun shows coming up. One of those tables will be dedicated to the NFOA for signing up. If anyone wants to help out west, let me know. Brule is 9 miles west of Ogallala on I-80, not far from Colorado.

I hate to beat a dead horse guys and gals, but someone needs to step up and help get the word out.

Sorry Guys, but I will not be able to help out at the Kearney event.  I have to help with inventory at work..  We should be done early afternoon, say 2ish on Saturday and I might be able to make a quick trip to Cabelas to help out then.

Fluff, Any time available would be great, the best part is toward the end of the day LitlRat gets all wound up and is entertaining just to be around it's really a good time.  The excitement he has for growing our organization is contagious and would be a good thing to have spreading around the state.

181 for the day, had to quit as the energizer bunny's voice box ran out of battery. Could have been a 200 day easy. I had to cool it down with an ice cold Michelob Light. Still sound like Batman on the "Dark Knight". I have 182 more apps for you Randy. I look exactly like Rich Wies, in fact his wife couldn't tell us apart, so if you want to punch me for making so much work for you, I will understand. I deserve a sharp punch in the mouth or a swift kick in the n^&*s, and will gladly accept it.

Met a few members today, George it was good to meet you, and your concerns are my concerns, and I think it is a moot point by now, the problem with the site has been removed.

If anyone around Kearney wants a ride to Columbus tomorrow, let me know asap, and I will give you one. Just be clean, I have a very sensitive nose.

Well, we got 9 more at Cabelas in Kearney for the weekend, and maybe more. That is a total of 190 confirmed new members from the Kearney Cabelas, and 370 from LaVista Cabelas. That is 560 (just doing the math for you Rich B.) confirmed members from Cabelas open houses in 2 weekends.

We need an official letter from the NFOA sent to Cabelas thanking them for their support of our organization, and a letter written to Erin (also a new member), the events coordinator in Kearney, for her going above and beyond to help us out on such short notice, getting us a prime location, feeding us, and making sure we had sodas and ink pens for the day. Get ahold of me for her full name and info.

A letter also should be written to the LaVista events coordinator.

We can't miss another Cabelas event, they are better than gun shows to sign up new members. Thanks to Huskergun for getting the idea and first one going.
