ENPS will be holding our first Pro-Am match of the year on Sunday, March 30th. (And I think we will be having three of these this year...)
Pro-Am is a seriously fun time---targets are ALL falling steel, set up in an action-pistol USPSA format.
...with a par time.
So, you come up to the stage, and you see how many targets you can knock down within that par time. Your score is how many fall. (MUST fall to count for score. No calibrations.) Your match score is the total of all stages put together.
There are two divisions: Open, and Everyone Else. And
everyone can only load ten rounds per magazine. (10 plus one in the chamber for loaded starts.)
We'll have four stages like that, and one tie-breaker stage where there is an array of steel, and you keep shooting until you knock them all down, and your time is recorded. This stage ONLY matters if you have the same score (from falling steel) as another competitor---in case of ties, the fastest run on the tie-breaker stage wins. It is a blast to shoot!
Here's an example of what stages might be like:
As always, setup starts at 7:15am and registration closes at 8:40am. We'll have a new shooter/safety briefing at 8:40, then the regular shooter's meeting at 9. After that, lots of banging noises.
Cost: $15.
Come out, help set up stages, and have a good time shooting. See you there!
