Weatherby brass/ reloading?
« on: April 01, 2014, 10:17:27 PM »
Anyone have some good Weatherby 300 mag. brass they would like to part with? I just acquired an older Mark V and will need to start reloading them. Here are some questions for the experts:

1. What is your favorite reload recipe for the Weatherby 300?
2. Doesn't speer or sierra or Hornady have a 180 gr. bullet for elk suitable for the Weatherby 300 speed? I am guessing around 3200 fps. All I read about is Nosler and Barnes.

This is a non reloading question. The rifle already has gloss rings on it. I was hoping to find a suitable gloss scope for it but not yet. Opinion time: should I scrap the gloss and get new rings and put a matte scope on it?
