Sarpy County Voting Information May 2014

edit cause i'm blind

Turns out there is a thread for this, kinda, already.

See:

Since... I just moved I had a dickens of a time getting information together for voting.

Who is running, what will I be voting for, etc.

Anyhoo...

First up, go here (and fill out your info).  It'll tell you what districts and all that jazz you're in:

https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov/VoterView/RegistrantSearch.do

Then, go to the Sarpy county web site to get a list of folks running:
http://www.sarpy.com/election/candidates.html

Plenty of these will point you to the NE SoS website, which does actually work.

The actual candidate list:
http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/2014/pdf/candidate_filings.pdf

For Judges (if you feel like trudging through their decisions):
http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/2014/pdf/Judicial_Filings.pdf

For sample ballots:
http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/2014/sample-ballots.html

The sample ballots are a bit weird - I'm registered independent / non partisan.  What exactly will I be filling out ? Mmmm ? Hehehehe

Towards the bottom of the SoS page is also some Petition stuff to eyeball.  Such as:

http://www.sos.ne.gov/elec/2014/pdf/firearm-petition.pdf

Some of the Sarpy County voting thing points you to the douglas county voting stuff, which *can* be navigated but it's not a direct hard link like the other stuff.

Any questions, feel free to ask.
