Good interaction with LPD
« on: May 08, 2014, 11:51:46 PM »
I just got done working on a house I'm remodeling to move in to later.

I lock everything up startrd walk to my van and seen that there was a light on in my shed witch is about 75-100 feet away. Keep in mind that I have the only key and haven't been in there the past 4 months.  Also the part of the house I was working in had full view of this shed.

I made sure my work van was cleared and took cover behind the door and keep and eye on the shed. I called dispatch informed them about the situation and ID my self and my cousin, what we where wearing and where we were located and that we are armed with fire arms.

I'd say the first cruiser showed up with in 3-4 minutes and the other 30 seconds behind him. They cleared the shed and said it showed there was forced entry.

Once done they ask what brand/model we where open carrying and where really nice about it.

This was my first time run in with the law with a firearm and I think it went very well and professional.

P.s. Hopefully this was a good place to post this.

I've had several interactions with LPD. They all have been relaxed and professional.

So was anything taken from the shed?
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Not that I can tell. The shed is junk and needs torn down.  We don't keep anything valuable inside.

Every time I've dealt with the rank & file LPD officers I've been impressed with their courtesy and professionalism.

you know what you should have done?
Just get a shot gun, and shoot it through the door, thats what Joey B. tells people to do.

I am pretty sure we went to HS together Mr. King....

I hate to say it but not surprised your shed was broken into.... I grew up in about 4 blocks from your place and your right of the edge of some riff raff across the street...

I am glad that the officers were civil with you about your OC. There boss seems to have issues with it!
