USPSA Action Pistol - June 1, 2014 @ ENGC

Eastern Nebraska Gun Club will be hosting the June USPSA Action Pistol match on June 1! These matches are one of the best every month and you don't want to miss it!

Please note that you must show up prior to 8:40AM to pay and sign in with match staff even if you pre-register!

Match Fee: $18.

There will be a classifier stage in this match! We will be shooting CM 99-24 Front Sight 2 (https://www.uspsa.org/classifiers/99-24.pdf)
For the classifier to count, you must be a USPSA member.

Schedule Is As Follows:

• Setup will start at 7:15AM. We appreciate any help we can get with setup. The more people we have, the faster we can get shooting!
• Registration closes at 8:40AM but you definitely want to show up sooner if you can. We will, as always, do our best to accommodate squadding requests but your chances are exponentially better at getting those requests fulfilled if you register online or show up very early on match day!
• Safety and New Shooter Briefing begins at 8:40AM.
• Shooters’ Meeting starts at 9:00AM.
• Match begins immediately following the Shooters’ Meeting.

Equipment You Will Need:

• A handgun chambered in 9x19mm or larger.
• A holster for your handgun. It is highly recommended you get one designed specifically for your gun and not a universal holster.
• Plenty of ammunition. It never hurts to have “too much” ammo. While you may not use every round, I always recommend a couple hundred rounds (in case of necessary reshoots or "make up shots").

Folks missed a GREAT match today---well, SOME of you did.  60 of us showed up for the fun, though... 

Stages were nicely tricky and varied, weather was great (a little warm, but we'll take it over blizzards any day), and there was a lot of shooting to do.

Huh.  That was interesting---we actually had more shooters in Open division than we had in Limited division.  That hasn't happened for a LONG time.  Matter of fact, Open was our second largest division!

Production, of course, being the largest.  You know, the best division.    (Not that I'm biased at all...)

Congratulations to Thomas Howard for winning the match overall (and Production division), Mike Carmoney for winning Single Stack, Bill Becker for winning Limited 10, Brian Hood for winning Limited, and Ken Anderson for winning Open! And an honorable mention to Travis Caldwell, the only person brave enough to shoot this match with a Revolver!

Glad you could all make it out! And if you weren't there... We better see you next month.

Wish I could have made it.  I had whitewater that needed rafted and trout that needed fished, though.
