The National Safety Council Nebraska advertises a training class for a Nebraska concealed carry permit. Does anyone know how good they are?

And he will probably refer all inquiries to the NSC-Nebraska office:  [402] 896-0454  [Ask for Joe Chavis or Shaley Kaufmann].

As it happens, several instructors with different backgrounds are involved in the three handgun courses (CHP, Basic Pistol, Omaha Open Carry).   Therefore, different instructional styles will be encountered, depending upon which class is attended.  However, the standard NE State Patrol-approved curriculum is covered by all instructors.

This year the NSC's prices for CHP classes were brought into line with current local rates.   So if in the past you've heard they are pricey, they are not so much any more.

From what I've heard, they have the worst reputation around... next to the guy that sells the CCW badges.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

I have taken blood Borne Pathogens Testing from these folks in the past.  I will say, the building is very nice.

http://www.safenebraska.org/safe-work/hand-gun-training/nebraska-concealed-carry-handgun-course/

$140 ( snippet from their web site.......This class IS NOT a basic pistol shooting course. This course is for experienced shooters only.
• Our NRA certified instructors may determine a student needs more individual class and/or handgun
range instruction. In this case, we will offer the student the option of scheduling a Basic Pistol training
class and/or one on one firing range shooting sessions with an instructor. Fees will apply. )

This is a 10 hour class, over three different days.

Only experienced shooters, and the class is 10 hours?     Must be some class.

Not at all a Basic Pistol class, so what is covered in the class?

The badges don't frighten me, he sells Bryco handguns!  & has the fool things loaded in class!  I've seen it.

I have seen two NSP instructors with guns out in the open with live ammo in CHP classes, and I have seen another jug head store ammo, explosives, and an open bar in his classroom.

The CCW badge is the least of our worries.  (no I don't have one.  lol)

I would  have a hard time going to a firearms course held in a building posted no firearms like the NSC building is.
