It's still a good idea. I have two grandsons who love to play minecraft with grandpa. Sometimes they connect remotely, sometimes they come over and we play minecraft while we "baby sit". My daughter and daughter-in-law are comfortable knowing I keep the weapons and ammo in a biometric safe. In an emergency I can access my weapon in 3 to 5 seconds, when I am not carrying it. Even if I didn't have grandchildren I'd keep the weapons locked up.
