Value of C96 Mauser "Broomhandle"
« on: September 06, 2014, 02:47:53 PM »
I have a family C96 Mauser that I need to check the value on.  Does anyone know a shop or individual in southeast Nebraska that would have the expertise to appraise such a gun?

Thanks,

There is/was a Mauser guy that had a shop somewhere in this area, unfortunately all I remember of his card was "EME".

Edit:  this is the guy.

It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Thanks guys.  That's the same person that on the fritz recommended.  He is in Palmyra as I understand it.

Yes.  Mausers, AKs, Mosins, and other milsurps. That's his specialty.

Great.  You guys seem to know what you are talking about.  ;D   So with all your recommendations, I feel pretty good about going to this guy.

Yep.  Terry's a good guy.  I just wasn't sure about posting some of his info on a public forum.

Glad I could finally help around here.  :)

Just a follow up to this thread.  I made contact with Terry and we set a time for me to go out to Palmyra and have him take a look at the gun.  I can't say enough good about Terry.  What a nice and extremely knowledgable gun enthusiast.  He did not charge me a dime for his time, though I offered to pay.  He just enjoys talking about guns...unlike the rest of us.  ;)  If I need him to write up something more official, he charges a negligible $20 fee.  If my brother-in-law doesn't believe my findings, I may have him do that.
