To many Holsters
« on: October 09, 2014, 09:25:56 PM »
Is it just me, or do others have many holsters per every 1 gun?

Its become like some sort of sickness.

"I really like the holster i have, but ive heard such good things about this one."

Then i end up with one other than thoes two, or worse yet appreciating the original the most...

An endless cycle...

So very much yes. I have a brand new holster for a gun I dont even have.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Only three holsters so far, but 1 is for a different gun

Give it time. They are like rabbits in the dark with Barry White playing in the background.

Not yet, two holsters and two handguns. I have a generic IWB holster for my LC9 and a holster for my Rossi Plinker just so it can be carried with the trigger covered since I don't have a bag or case for it. Wouldn't mind getting one of those nice Crossbreed holsters for the LC9 along with an IWB mag holster.

I have a big drawer full of holsters because it took me awhile to find out which ones worked best for me.  If I ever decide to get a table at a gun show, some of them will be on the table.

I've been called a grammar Nazi a few times so let me risk that again by pointing something out: it should be too many, not to many; use the word too when you mean more of something (easy to remember because it has more o's), as in I'm going too (one more person going), or I have too many holsters.

When I have some free cash (does this ever happen?), I need to get some more CCW holsters. I have one that works decently and it conceals well but I'm sure there's a better one out there for me.

That's the main thing for me---I have a lot (literally, two buckets-full) of various holsters.  Had to try a lot of different CCW holsters before I found the ones that work for me.

Between basic range holsters (to loan to friends or people in classes), competition holsters (regular, spare, extra spare, extra hangers plus extra extra spare which is now on another rig, plus extra holster for IDPA since I can't use my CCW holster for it), and CCW holsters----yeah, ended up with quite a few holsters.

Still need to get a Keepers AIWB CCW holster to try, too.  I really like the Fricke Archangel and the CCC Shabby, but I hear the Keepers is a really good one, too.  Might be more comfortable, might be faster, might be more concealable.....
