Both Harr and Sen. Brad Ashford —  after 16 years, Ashford is leaving the Legislature for Congress — say the secret vote is a good idea but tough for lawmakers to talk about.

“It’s a touchy subject,” Ashford said.

“Very delicate,” said Harr, ...

Ya, right.   It's always touchy and delicate when politicians can say  one thing in public and vote the opposite in secret.

Touchy and very delicate, as in they know people would be angry if they knew the back room deals that go on...

The purpose of the secret vote is to enable legislators to be able to lie to their colleagues without ruining the "collegial" atmosphere in the Unicameral. Clearly, being able to feel chummy with your bros is more important than open and transparent government operations.

It is annoying that "public" servants need to keep secrets.  Look how much information is hidden, sealed...or whatever... for the greater good. Except, who decided what is the greater good and who does or doesn't need to know about how their lives are being affected?

It is annoying that "public" servants need to keep secrets.

Especially when the "secrets" are about illegal activities, re:  Lerner and the IRS conspiring with the DOJ.

Anything Ashford would be for a loyal American would be against.
The liberal cult seeks destruction of the American Republic like water seeks low ground.
