I take it you have never read Mel Tappans book SURVIVAL GUNS,   I think his basic battery involved about 87 Firearms,

Haven't read that but I'll check it out.

 Its a little dated. My book is dated 1980. a lot of new guns are not listed, not a grock in sight, but a very good read to really see what working guns can be used, 
   He died in 1980, he wrote a lot of survival stuff for Guns and Ammo, I also subscribed to his news letter, they had a lot of articles and special sales on stuff, ( AR-15.com has it there to read)   http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_10_17/661461_Mel_Tappan__Personal_Survival_Letter.html

I'm pretty wet behind the ears when it comes to the survivalist life style, yet I do like watching it on tv. :laugh:
