Shoot me a message. You can barrow the hot pink AR that my sister has yet to shoot if you want to get in on these. [emoji12]

But really if you are interested let me know. If he goes he spare rifles to shoot if. You provide the ammo.
Will do.  How much ammo would be necessary?

Depends on the month there is a flyer in post 11 with round count. I would bring extra so you can do some practice shooting before the scored shooting starts. They normally take some time during signup for ppl to check zero or rexero at 200y if needed. Ammo should be anything that is non steel core. He shoots a lot of the black box American eagle from Wal-Mart. You can buy 90 round boxes that should set you up perfect and have a few rounds left over for when you get black rifle disease.

Any extra plans for the first match seeing as how it falls on April 19th?

I think the first match has been moved to the 26th. I will text Ben and tell him to update the thread.

The first date will be April 26th on the 100 yard range (range 2).  There was a conflict with range reservations. There is some disconnect with the folks who publish the calendar and myself but it'll hopefully get worked out.
The round count will be 30 + what you need for sight-in.  I'll introduce some basic shooting fundamentals, range safety, and target scoring.  Hopefully I can find a Benchrest expert to give some additional coaching advice on bag shooting.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Hopefully I can make it to this.  I only made it to one last year but it was fun.

Do we need to register somewhere so that you you have our emails, or will that be at the range the first round?

I gather emails the day of the match - it goes on your score sheet so I can email out results.
I don't know if I've posted the schedule here so ....

Shooters,

This your Thursday reminder that you'll need to get some ammo for Sunday; it's Black Rifle time! We will be on the 300 yard range so bring your walking shoes.  We will need extra hands to set up the range for each stage.  So perhaps bring gloves too.

The course of fire is...
Stge 1: 200 yards, Sitting, 10 Shots, big paper bullseye
Stge 2: 300 yards, Prone, 10 Shots, big paper bullseye
Stge 3: 200 yards, Prone, 10 shots, Heavy steel Chickens who are impervious to 55 grain rounds.  The also know the 5 "D"s of Dodgeball.

Standard change: We can now use slings in both Prone and Sitting.
Schedule: 0900-Registration and Sight in
945-Clinic taught by J. Winemiller on Sling use and the 6 Fundamentals of the Shot (he will possibly have some slings and attachments for sale as well)
            1000- Stage 1 First shot.

See you Sunday!

Yeah the chickens aren't fazed much by 52gr SMK's...
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.
