“It is not an issue of being afraid, It's an issue of not being afraid to protect myself.”
 Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert
"A gun is a tool, Marian; no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that."  Shane

These are only two of the good bills this week:

LB289, preemption, as already mentioned
LB30, Non disclosure bill mentioned

Also

LB603, Shall sign bill for people purchasing NFA items
LB225, to allow shotgun sports teams to store their firearms on college campus just as rifle teams currently can
LB638, keeps CHP for Military members and their spouse from expiring when stationed outside the state
LB635, changes where a Concealed Carry Permit holder can carry, allows businesses that serve alcohol as long as the permit holder does not consume
LB340, Signage for CCW

And then the is LB14 which deals with the criminal use of facsimile firearms.

Lots of gun bills the next 2 days and we need people there to support our issues.

Government not being restrained by the Constitution as written is tyranny pure and simple.

I read the Stamford piece; it was sent out by NRA too.  It's worth reading as an example of typical gun control propaganda.  Notice that 2nd Amendment supporters are called "lobbyists" but supporters of civilian disarmament are not called lobbyists.  Anti-gun bigots are referred to as "gun safety activists," which is an outright lie, because they are no more interested in gun safety than we are, and in fact we are the ones teaching gun safety, and if it wasn't for them gun safety would probably be taught in public schools, by NRA certified instructors.  There are other examples too, one being the opening paragraph.

I guess it's an AP article, which would make it a surprise if it was a real news piece instead of propaganda disguised as news.  This is why the dinosaur media are dying and becoming extinct.  Not soon enough though, since they still managed to get Obama elected twice.
