While we're talking to experts,  just changed address for NE, anyone remember Utah's requirements.?

Apparently Utah told my friend to write his address on the back of his permit unless he actually wanted a new permit with the right address.
It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Nebraska:
- Completed & notarized form
- Proof of training (Not required for renewals)
- Proof of vision (Driver's License)
- Proof of identification (Driver's License)
- Proof of citizenship (Passport)
- Proof of address (Driver's License)
- Photograph (Will be taken by the State Patrol)
- Fingerprints (Will be taken by the State Patrol)
- Signature (Taken electronically at the time of fingerprinting)
- Application fee ($50 for renewals)

I see no requirement to call for an appointment as long as you go to one of the Troop Headquarters listed.

You must appear in person when applying for an Initial or Renewal CCW Permit.  Please click the link to find the NSP location nearest you to make an appointment < Conceal Carry Permit Locations >

First paragraph.

But nothing says that you must schedule an appointment to appear in person.

Omaha is the exception.  All other locations now require you make an appointment from what I understand.

make an appointment .

So sad that some just can't understand the English language.
If I make an appointment with someone, isn't that scheduleing an appointment?

Indeed it is.  NSP website is down (see OP).  No way to click a link to make/schedule an appointment.  No appointment necessary in Omaha.  See below (emphasis added for those who require such).

Troop A - Omaha
 4411 South 108th Street
 Omaha, NE 68137
No appointment necessary
 (402) 331-3333
 Monday - Friday
 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

I was citing the paper form since the NSP website is down by the way.  The paper form says nothing about making, scheduling, arranging, constructing, setting, etc. an appointment.

Apparently Utah told my friend to write his address on the back of his permit unless he actually wanted a new permit with the right address.

Looks like that's one option- Address Change

To make address changes to your concealed weapon permit, e-mail the pertinent information to the Bureau of Criminal Identification at DPSFIREARMS@utah.gov. Be sure to include your permit number, full name as it appears on the permit, address as it appears on the permit and the new address.  After the address change is submitted, you can write your new address on the back of the card.

This information can also be mailed to:

Firearms Section
Bureau of Criminal Identification
3888 W 5400 S
Taylorsville UT 84129

If you would like a new card that will show your updated address, you can follow this link to the application that you will have to print out and mail in: Concealed Firearm Permit Replacement Form.  The address change can be submitted on the form instead of emailed to BCI.  The application is called “Replacement Application for Concealed Firearm Permit”.  Make sure you get the application notarized and the cost for a new card is $10.  Also, since the form is notarized, we cannot accept it faxed in.  The form will need to be mailed in or delivered in person.

Utah renewal came in the mail today.

One month total turnaround, including snail mail in both directions.

Good until 21 May 2020.

As it happens, they gave me a new date of birth  (January 22 instead of January 2, which is properly and clearly indicated on my application form.)   Guess I've been born again, officially, through the auspices of the Great State of Utah.

Glad they didn't change my sex, which is all the rage these days. (Maybe they did.  Maybe the M stands for Modified, whatever.)

And they still use NB instead of NE as the abbreviation for Nebraska.
