Daily Nebraskan article on gun free zones
« on: October 28, 2015, 12:43:01 PM »
Here's an article about gun free zones written in the DN.  I haven't read it yet, but will do so later.

Good to see a college-age woman in support of eradicating gun-free zones!

Perhaps we should invite her to speak at the legislative day being planned.

nice read !

I did find that my web browser "firefox" did not like the flash video Ad top right side of the page.  I had to do Ctrl-Alt-Del / task manager /  processes / select adobe flash player and "end task"  to be able to read the page with out the page scroll lag .
I will allow myself one personal observation. If you want to disarm yourself, that is your choice. The following quote is a favorite of mine and something to keep in mind when you make that choice.

i have read the article a couple of times now.... and yes it was a good article.  it caught me off guard.

the author's twitter page says she is a Journalism major and an English minor.  anyone find that a little funny?  i do because NAGV's leader is an English professor at UNL.

we need to see if she wants to join the NFOA and help us write some material.

Nice article. It was not the most eloquent but she did seem to have thought this out and came to a sane conclusion.

My thoughts too.

She is 5/8ths through her four years as a journalism major.  The fist two years are mostly standard coursework regardless of the major.   Her writing skills show that there is room for improvement but her cognitive skills are spot on!  Her skills will improve and after the campus Left starts pounding on her she'll  toughen up as well.   She needs to join the NFOA and be our campus correspondent!

Exactly.  A student's first couple years are going to be a lot of mandatory curricula spanning across all the campus departments, regardless of the long term major.  And her writing quality is already on par for that student paper.

I'm sure the English department Pollyanna People must be rending their tie-dyed shirts in despair because someone in their department doesn't think in the correct way.

Those aren't touchy-feely enough to get you published in a liberal rag like Salon.com like our state's resident "expert".    http://www.salon.com/writer/amanda_gailey/   You're actually learning how to do real work in the real world and think objectively.

Wow!  I read one of her Salon articles.  Pure condensate dripping from the Marxist echo chambers.  She may not be capable of an original thought but she's good at re-working the screed that Salon allows on its site.
