Serial Number Assistance Needed - Can't Find
« on: April 05, 2016, 07:03:31 PM »
I have been updating my inventory list on my firearms in case of fire, theft or loss.

I have 2 firearms I cannot find a serial number for.

Number 1 is a Cooey Repeater Model 60 bolt action .22  This was manufactured in Canada decades ago.

The second is a Savage Arms Springfield Model 67H 12ga. pump. I cannot find a serial number anywhere on it.

I had a few older shotguns (circa 1900 thru 1930) that had serial numbers stamped all over.

Am I just blind or is it possible these were never serialized?

If anyone knows the location I might look for a serial number I would be grateful.

It's possible that they don't have serial numbers if they pre-date 1968

Thank you.  That's what I was thinking.  I have just never seen others, even pre-1968 without a serial identifier of some type.

Thanks for the input.  I was sorry to hear of your closing shop and hope everything is going well.
