be aware of protests.
« on: July 14, 2016, 05:08:00 PM »
The protests in and around this area have been ,,, safe? so far. more like just blocking streets, there is a protest today at the police station on north 30th. just be aware of what is going on around you, listen too the radio and go around anything that you hear about.
stay away from them and you should be safe, but keep your guard up,

And remember: People on foot can't really stop you from driving where you want to.

Running over someone constitutes deadly force. You must be able to justify doing so just as much as if you had shot him or her.

If you can avoid a protest, do so. If you happen upon one that is blocking the street, turn around and leave if possible. If you are trapped but nothing violent is happening, keep your windows up and doors locked, call 911 to report the situation and be patient. On the other hand, if they try to break into your car, turn it over or set it on fire, or you see them doing that to another vehicle, you are at imminent risk of death or serious injury and deadly force is justified.
