A young woman shot a man in a store, saving about 115 people..   the store representative responded by saying this...

"A representative from the store told reporters, “We offer our most sincere condolences for the incident our customer and employees endured this evening. We are grateful for the assistance provided by Mrs. Harris, however, once the dust settles, we may be required to pursue legal action regarding her violation of Bradford’s gun free zone policy. Tonight’s tragedy has reinforced our stance on gun violence and we will continue to lobby for stricter gun control within our great nation.”

It doesn't even phase them that the shooter didn't obey the sign either.

LOL. well no. that wouldn't be something that they wanted to point out.  Doesn't play into their whole " if guns are against the law people just won't own them " foolhardy mentality.

Someone told me that this website is fake, and I'm inclined to agree.  I can't find this news story anywhere else.

As far as I can tell, this story is a hoax.

The two Boston newspapers are the Herald and the Globe. The Boston Tribune is only a web site.

An internet search for "Randall Pierce Lisa Harris" turns up only the Boston Tribune web site and discussions of the Tribune article on other sites. The other sites are skeptical about its validity. Neither is there any internet presence of a "Bradford's Department Store".

If the story is real, one would expect it to be repeated on national news and on many reputable new web sites in Virginia.

It's suspicious that the story fails to identify the location of the store beyond saying it's in Virginia.

So the actual newspaper for Boston is the Boston Herald (http://www.bostonherald.com). There are no headlines on that website for this happening anywhere in the Boston area.

I did a search on the Boston Herald website for the name of the lady who supposedly shot the attacker and found nothing (http://www.bostonherald.com/search-results?query=Lisa%20Harris).

A Google search for the Chief of Police mentioned in the article (https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=Chief+of+Police+Matthew+Collingsworth) also results in nada, zip, zilch.

Interestingly enough, the only other reference I could find for Bradford's Department Store is a reference to another fake news article from

Snopes, not the best reference but still, had an entry debunking the older article (http://www.snopes.com/transgender-shot-death-restroom/). Lead Stories has a section called Hoax Alert (http://hoax-alert.leadstories.com/) which also has a post on the older story (http://hoax-alert.leadstories.com/1055363-transgender-woman-hoax.html).

All in all, this is a major hoax that is sure to get people riled up because they aren't doing their research first.

I recognize one site that is not a "fake news" site.  It is http://thepeoplescube.com/ ,
which uses Alinsky's 5th rule back on Marxist and Socialism.

Examples include:
"Venezuela solves starvation problem by making it mandatory to buy food"
That is satirical ridicule, like the Left used claiming Palen said that "From my house I can see Russia" in her interview with Katie Curric, when what she actually said "There are places in Alaska from which you can see Russia", which is a true statement.

Too many Conservatives do a knee jerk reaction to some really fake (not statirical)  stories,  like the one from a fake ABC news site which claimed that Obama signed E.O. 13738, which outlaws the pledge of Allegiance at public schools because it was too controversial.

EDIT:
An example of what the PeoplesCube publishes:

http://thepeoplescube.com/red/viewtopic.php?t=3076
Economic justice:
  • America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
  • Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
  • They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
  • Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
  • The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other countries only dream about.
  • They have things that people in other countries only dream about - yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Hollywood cliches:
  • Without capitalism there'd be no Hollywood - yet filmmakers hate capitalism.
  • Filmmakers hate capitalism - yet they sue for unauthorized copying of their movies.
  • They sue for unauthorized copying - yet on screen they teach us to share.
  • On screen they teach us to share - yet they keep their millions to themselves.
  • They keep their millions to themselves - yet they revel in stories of American misery and depravity.
  • They revel in stories of American misery and depravity - yet they blame the resulting anti-American sentiment on conservatism.
  • They blame the anti-American sentiment on conservatism - yet conservatism ensures the continuation of a system that makes Hollywood possible.
