Liberty HDX-250 Smart Vault - any good?
« on: August 20, 2016, 08:34:06 AM »
I am looking for a hand gun safe and ran across a Liberty HDX-250 Smart Vault at Cabelas. Just wondering if anyone has some thoughts on this. I am also considering a Fort Knox pistol box.

Thank you in advance.

Frankly, I haven't heard / seen of them. If you go that route, let us know your experience.

I do not own one but do know them, I have used Gun Vaults for years before I had seen these. They are sturdier and heavier than the GunVaults as well as much harder to break into, If I was starting over I would be looking at them instead of the GunVaults that I have, in fact thinking of getting one of their smaller models to put in the truck once I have some extra cash.

Would love to see a review also.

I need a truck safe... Not sure if I could justify a bio safe but I like the looks of the HD200. The 100 doesnt look big enough to hold a pistol and a holster.

We purchased that HD-300 Quick Vault.  Easy to change the combo and easy to use. We did not trust the biometric finger swipe technology stuff.  Wife must have poor circulation or something because she can not use most biometric devices at her work place. The HD-300 is a push button code.  So far we like it.
