I called ATF after my dad who lived in another state passed away. I wanted to make sure inheriting dad's guns was legal and it was. That was around 8 years ago so things may have changed.
Since you're sending them to the People's Republic of Kolorado, you might need to check their laws too.

I'm not an FFL so take it for what it's worth, but it looks like you might still need to transfer the handgun through an FFL...based on a couple of quick Google searches...

Edit:  Nevermind... one more google search and it looks like transfer rules don't apply to immediate family members...

If it crosses a state line it needs to be transferred through an FFL in your daughters home state.

Within the same state, ( at least in Nebraska ) that is correct, when crossing state lines, an FFL is required on the receiving end

 first, delete this whole thread,      Then give your daughter the gun, and shes had that gun her whole life, it was never yours, you just held onto it for her until they got settled,
