Legalities of the Auto Ordnance Thompson 1927a5
« on: May 30, 2017, 01:44:29 AM »
I'm inquiring about Neb's legalities concerning an Auto Ordnance Thompson semi-auto.  The discontinued AO Thompson 1927A5 has no buttstock and was fitted with a short 13.5-inch barrel vs the current 1927A1 semi-auto rifle.  It was considered a 'pistol' at the time of mfr but after 2011 it was deemed 'AOW' or a 'firearm'... (See attachment)

What does this mean for purchasing/shipping into Neb, also do I need a special license to own one?

Sorry in advance if this is a newbie question.  There appears to be very limited info on this particular firearm.  Thanks much

You can have or purchase an AOW in Nebraska just so you follow all the federal regs (tax stamp etc.).
