Wild Game Expo, Tom Osborne to speak..... Volunteers needed.
« on: January 13, 2010, 09:32:37 PM »
We have been given a free table at the Westside Baptist Church in Omaha for thier annual Wild Game Expo on February 20th. Last year I got a table down thier and they about 2000 people through the door. They brought in Husker football coach Ron Brown last year. Who gave an outstanding speech on what it means to be a man. I do not know who will be there this year but I will find out.

Anyway, We need 2 volunteers for one full day or 4 people to work in 2 shifts.
This is really a neat smaller show.

Bass Pro and Cabelas both participated last year with boats and other stuff on display and I believe they'll be there this year.

This should be fun and you get to eat some food also.

Thanks
Rich

Former Husker football Coach Tom Osborne will be the speaker at this years Wild Game and Fish Expo.
We are still in need of volunteers for this. I have gotten no takers. This is a good event for us to be at. They get 2000 people through the door.
Let me know if you can help.

We still need a couple of volunteers for this event.  Westside Baptist Church has given us a table and we need someone who can be there to sign up some new members.

This runs from 9:00 am till 3:30 pm if we do not have at least 2 people volunteer by Wednesday we will need to withdraw.  This would be unfortunate happening since they are trying to offer us their support by giving us a free table at an event that should draw a couple of thousand people from the Omaha area.

We can't afford to miss this one, and Tom Osborne? Come on Husker fans. I have to be at state wrestling for the last time, or I would do it, and I am not a husker fan.

I will be there working with another table but hope to split my time if it will help. For those who don't think its a man's event because it's in a church...you gotta come. More deer heads on this gym wall than I have ever seen in one place.  Free food..wild game prepared many ways...probably should leave your sidearms in the car though  Grin

If you want an brochure, email me and ask..it's too big to attach!

We have two people who are going to help part time so far, we have to have one person who will be there the full duration (only 6.5 hours). I have been IMing quite a few, If I missed you, let me know if you can help. Two more people would be great.

I want to thank Wilson, Ronvandyn and RLM5150 for volunteering to help out at this show. The NFOA wouldn't be in the position it is today if volunteers like you guys wouldn't step up and volunteer a few hours of your weekend to help get the message out. I will be in Omaha Thursday, Friday and Saturday, if you guys want to meet and go over a few things and get the banner and sign ups sheets, let me know.

IM me here on NFOA, I will get the message on my phone.

I had a great time at the NFOA table today visiting with folks. I am amazed at how many gun owners passed by. Many signed up and many took brochures to sign up online. Getting folks to sign up is an easy sell...most jumped on it and were thankful when they heard of what the NFOA does and stands for.

You have built a quality association and one you can be proud of...I am grateful to be a member now!  ;D

If you haven't put time in at a table...you should give it a shot!
