After Market Flash Supressor S&W M&P15/22
« on: February 17, 2010, 01:50:36 PM »
Does anyone know who makes or sales an after marked flash supressor for the S&W M&P 15/22. I really like the rifle. However, it just doesn't look right without one. (Just my opinion)  ???

Is the barrel threaded on those?

With the barrel not being threaded it will require threading first.
Than the flash suppressor options are almost limitless.
Standard 1/2"x28 thread.
Suppresor cost app. $55.00

I do believe they make a version that has a factory flash hider now, but Randy is right about the plain barrels. Threading is required first

Ruger does make one with a flash hider.  Just saw it at Scheels.

Anyone know who would cut these threads and do a good job? What is the estimated cost for having this done?

You may want to try this before going to the trouble of having the barrel threaded: http://www.mp15-22.com/products/barrels.html

I've heard of a lot of people having ADCO do barrel work with good results, looks like they charge $65. http://www.adcofirearms.com/shopservices/shop_.cfm?code=1

I'm not sure who could do it around here.
